We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your AstroHalo account and what happens to your data when you do.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly from the AstroHalo app:
- Open the AstroHalo app
- Tap the profile icon to open Settings
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings panel
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision in the prompt
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is removed from our live database immediately and from encrypted backups within 30 days:
- Profile information (name, email, nickname, avatar)
- Birth data (date of birth, birth time, birth location, timezone)
- Saved natal charts and horoscope history
- AI chat conversation history
- Tarot reading history
- Synastry connections, invites, and partner profiles
- Calendar interpretations and highlights cache
- Subscription records, credit balance, and purchase history
- Push notification token and notification preferences
- Generated PDF reports
Please note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including saved charts and chat history, will be irreversibly removed.
What May Be Retained
- A one-way SHA-256 hash of your email, kept in a deletion log to honor "right to be forgotten" requests if you re-register
- Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that cannot identify you
- Records required to be retained by applicable law (e.g., transaction records for tax or legal compliance)
Active Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions managed through the App Store or Google Play. To avoid future charges, please cancel your subscription before deleting your account:
- iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > AstroHalo > Cancel
- Android: Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > AstroHalo > Cancel
Request a Copy of Your Data First
If you would like a copy of your data before deleting your account, email [email protected] from the email associated with your account. We will provide a JSON export within 30 days.
Alternative: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app, request deletion by emailing [email protected]. Include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation when complete.
